Sorting out moving details for the UK

Calgary, Canada

This last week I have made some good progress. I have $1700 saved up (I need $2500 to get my UK visa) and I have my tickets. I made an arrangement with an Air Canada employee to trade a buddy pass in exchange for computer help. I fix his machines and network once in a while and he give me a stand-by ticket into Heathrow, sounds good to me.

I Talked to my friend Hails from New Zealand last night. Her flat mate is in London right now looking for a job. She's been there 3 weeks and has discovered that most places don't want to hire somebody unless they have a British passport because most travelers work 3 weeks and move on to another country. Hopefully I can line something up before I get over there.

Right now all thats left for me to do is: pack, get to $2500 (another 2 pay cheques) and get my visa.
