Meningococcal Meningitis Septicaemia and Medical treatment

Exeter, UK

My flatmate Julie passed out and wouldn"t wake up on wednesday night. She was taken to the hospital and they found out she had (let me get my panflit out here) Meningococcal Meningitis Septicaemia. It affects the brain and the spine and causes blood not to get to vital parts of the body. She is in the hospital with a tube down her throught now.

I got home from work around 8pm and a doctor phoned me up. This is how you don"t greet people, "Is this Mark Lit... win... cheik... of 34 Oxford Road?", my heart sank wondering who the fuck calls me and tells me my details. He told me the news and then came to the house and gave me some drugs so that I don"t get anything. It"s unlikely that I"ll ever get it from her but they were making sure there wasn"t a chance. Worse cause scenario I"d end up killing everyone at my work and other tesco"s shoppers.

I got a mobile phone, my land line will be cut off at 23:00GMT on Saturday night.

UK: Text me on 07814-965063
Canada/USA: Ring me on 011-44-7814-965063
Elsewhere: +44 (0)7814-965063

My tarrifs are a little screwed:

Calls to land lines and Orange customers: 25p first 3 minutes, 5p thereafter
To other mobile networks in the UK: 40p a minute
Text messages (won"t work with North American mobiles) 10p
Calls to Canada/US: 15p a minute

So I could call my mate Robbie who is a 15 minute walk from my house and pay about $1 a minute but I could call to the other side of the planet from anywhere in the United Kingdom (well 99.9% of it) and talk to my friends/family in North America for 37.5 cents a minute. England is really f*cked, this is just another example of it.

I"m going to be in London from April 19th - 21st. I"ll be up in Camden Town. If your in town send me a text. ;-)
