London has been brilliant 9th August 2002 in London, United Kingdom

I have a diary of all the stuff I have done but I don"t have enough time to type it all out. Hopefully I"ll find a PC to use for free and I can spend a few hours typing out everything.

London has been brilliant. Yesterday I spent the morning looking for jobs and the afternoon walking around the sites. In the evening I met up with the two German girls (Ina from Heighberg and Inita from Munich) that I"m sharing a room with. I was finally able to get some money (£40) so we went and had a pint at the pub that I stayed at in March. Unfortunately the people who I stayed with there aren"t there anymore.

Last night I got woken up at 2am by two more girls from Norway that checked in. I talked to them this morning and they seemed very nice.

Unfortunately, my new mobile phone number hasn"t been activated yet because there is a backlog at Orange (my mobile provider). I have to get that sorted today so I can call Canada and get my bank accounts working again.

I should be good for a bit, I have £40 in my pocket, my accommodation is paid for a month, I get free breakfast and I have a weeks worth of food and I have a tube pass for a week. That should hold me over until I get my new debit card from HSBC next Thursday. I was pretty worried that I wasn"t going to have any money to use the internet or wash my clothes so it"s a good thing that I got that £40. It sucks going to a foreign country and not having any cash on hand.

But I"m happy because I have everything sorted, I"ve made a few new friends and I should be employed in a few weeks.
