First day as a programmer and a touch of culture shock 15th October 2002 in Bremen, Germany
Yesterday was my first day as a professional computer programmer. It was nice. I worked from home on an online system using PHP and MySQL. When I got a little stuck, I went for a walk in the park. It"s amazing to have this much flexability and to have so much input into a project.
Unfortunitly I still don"t have internet at home. Deutsch Telekom are completely useless. Everything they could of screwed up on, they did. I remember working at CADVision and having people from China and other random countries phone up and in the worst Engrish describe their problems, I guess now the tables have turned.
Tomorrow I have a meeting in Hannover. I put Quake 3 with a couple of addon packs on my notebook so that I have something to do on the trainride down.
