Party in Schafflund and some signs of the English language in Germany

Last night Anja and I went to a birthday party for one of Anja"s friends. We arrived at the party, there were cars lined up all around the streets. We walked up to the party which was in a big heated tent in a backyard. We got inside there were picknic tables packed with people, colourful lights lining the walls and music playing. I spoted a few friends I knew. Levke came running up and gave me a huge hug and just about knocked me over ;-) She said she was drunk so she can speak English really well. I"ll have to keep that in mind.

I got to meet some of Anja"s old class mates, quite a few spoke English and a couple had studied in Canada. At one point a man dressed as a Uniformed Police Officer entered the room, he played the part really well, at first, most people thought he was the Police. He had what I describe as a eastern-block-soviet-era-uniform. He put on a wicked comedy scetch where he told a few jokes, took the piss out of the audience members and he finished it off with lipsinking to some weird german-80"s party music. Absolute Class...
