Flying back to Germany from Canada

Frankfurt, Germany

Thursday:

Last Friday I said goodbye to my friends and family and boarded a Boeing 767 from Frankfurt. I arrived 9 hours later, got my bags and headed for the Hauptbahnof. I got there, locked my bags up and began walking around Frankfurt and taking in some beautiful German artitechture. About 5 hours later I caught an ICE back to Hannover and then another back home. I was completely knackered when I got in, I was awake for about 28 hours before I finally passed out. I can't believe I was almost up for a pint when I got in the door.

This last week I was working pretty hard getting my software ready for the next testing and presentation phase. Today I caught another ICE at 7am down to Hannover and headed for out new offices in the north of the city across the street from the airport. It's interesting working in an office with airplanes coming in for a landing about 20 meters off the ground 35 meters from my window. Most are pretty small, mostly ~200 person aircraft.

After a rigorious testing session, my co-worker and I drove 90 KM down to the Volkswagen plat in Wolfsburg, there I ended a 13 hour work day presenting and revising my software. This evening my flatmate, my boss, his wife and I headed out for dinner and a couple drinks. Tomorrow I'm back in Hannover to discuss server requirements for the internal deployment of my software in a few weeks time. It's another story when others are using your software in a mission-critical sense. I attached a few photos from my day.
