Testing software and birthday parties 8th February 2003 in Hannover, Germany

Friday I woke up at 6am and headed down to Hannover for the day. It's rare that I'm not working from home but I had to have another testing session with a coworker to ensure the software doesn't crash and burn in my face when the whole company trys it out next week.

For lunch I ordered some greek dish. The order almost went through flawlessly until the very last moment. I called up and asked if they spoke English, no, they replied. So I gave my order and details in German and just when I thought I was in the clear he said something I couldn't understand so I passed it too my college, turns out he just wanted to verify everything I ordered.

There was a new groupware server at work, it was really nice until around 1 in the afternoon when I noticed that it stopped working, eventually I found that they were having some issues with it so I helped get those resolved. After work my co-worker and I drove to his place, had a bite to eat, watched a bit of TV and then headed to my other co-worker's birthday party.

The night went really well, I met a lot of cool people and got absolutely smashed.

The rest of the weekend was pretty boring, spent most of my time recovering and doing some work. Here are some pics from friday.
