Lonely places on earth 9th April 2003 in Hannover, Germany

Anja and I learnt last night that our old apartment is completely flooded. This came about 5 days after we signed over the place to someone else. Talk about luck. Apparently a water pipe bursted in the apartment above our old one.

I"m still working on getting my place setup. I still haven"t had the time to put up curtains yet. I"ll have to get around to that. I found a huge gym near my house, I"m going to have a look there soon and see if it"s the right one for me.

Hannover is proving to be one of the loneliest places on earth. I"m saving all the cash I can right now to open an investment account, until then, I guess I won"t be exploring any of the Irish pubs here. I"m not quite sure where else I could meet people. Usually I stay in a hostel when I move to a new city but I didn"t do that this time and Germany doesn"t seem to have the backpacker ghetto"s that most of the other countries I visited have.
