Work suggestion board, Clubbing, Slappers, Breakfast at Metzo's, Canadians, House full of slappers 22nd October 2001 in Exeter, United Kingdom

We have a suggestion board at work where people put idea"s to improve the company on. The other day I walked by and there was a suggestion to "remove mark from the office". Today I was explaining how things worked at PSINet and later on in the day a college said "you Canadians never do any work" to busy drinking pop and enjoying your massage?.

I went to Volts on Friday with everyone from the hostel. It was a really good night. I think all the hungry slappers in Exeter came out. The DJ played all my favourite tracks. I had a wonderful time dancing and talking with all the girls there.

Saturday I work up about 8:30am, Anna had just come home from work (2 hour shift). We watched cartoons together until 10:30. After that we went out for breakfast at Metzo"s. Anna was going on about 1 hour of sleep from the previous night.

Later on Saturday evening another Canadian checked into the hostel. She was from Douglas Dale in Calgary. It was nice to meet someone else with the same accent. Took care of the home-sickness-residue that was lurking around. She had been to Germany and she told me that everyone she met down there spoke English. Regardless, I"m still keeping up with my German lessons.

Sunday we went out for a beautiful walk in the English countryside by the Quay (pronounced Key). We were going to take photographs but we ran out of film. Oh well?

I found a house. The house is about 2 blocks away from where I work. Everything is about a 5 minute walk away. I?ve posted a map below. If everything works out I will be living with: Maria, 24, Spanish, Ana, 25, Spanish, Julie, 20, Danish, Anne, 19, Danish, Freda, 18, Danish. I"m not sure if I?ll ever see the bathroom.

It"s going to cost each of us £440 to move in so my cash is really tight this week.

On the job front, Maria got a job as a nurse in an old age home. Ana has a job at a chicken factory plucking feathers and another cleaning at a book store (kind of like chapters). I think the Danish girls are working in retail.

10-4.
