Beautiful Sunset on Bondi Beach

I was walking up to the roof of my hostel this morning when I ran across a guy I had shared a room with in surfer's paradise. He was looking for a hostel since his last decision wasn't that good. Many of the hostels in Kings Cross cost about the same price but the quality and cleanliness varies a great deal. When I chose to stay at Sydney Central Backpackers as I did in 2001 half of me wanted to have something I knew and was comfortable with while the other half of me thought that I should try to do as many different things this time just to get the most out of it. No one else I had met that stayed in Kings Cross had anything good to say about the place they'd were staying in so I guess that desire went cheerfully unfulfilled.

I spent about 30 minutes waiting on the roof for one person in my group to finish working so we could all go out for the day. During this time, a girl sat with me and complained about not having any money. I hate these conversations. Telling me you're broke does nothing but belittle yourself and bore me. We are all here for a very short period of time and it's best spent with as little winging as possible. That being said there is probably at least 2 days of reading material on this site full of me complaining about one thing or another.

My group and I spent the day wandering around Sydney and eventually we found ourselves on Bondi Beach for the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. I never thought such natural beauty existed. There were dark clouds covering up one part of the sky but the other was clear. The dark clouds were reflecting the redness from the sun as it set. The amazing beauty blew me away. I soaked my feet in the tides as we walked along the beach.

Before we left Bondi I found a van that had the license plate "surfon". I took a photo of it but as a German guy in my group went to do so the van drove off. He yelled stop in german at the van but it still drove on. I must have made 40 spy jokes at this guy by the end of the night.
