Brighton for the weekend, learning Estonian 8th August 2005 in Brighton, United Kingdom

I finally went down to Brighton this weekend. I wish I had gone before. The train fare was pretty cheap and it only took about an hour to get their on the train. There was a big gay street party going on there which caught us a bit off guard. The city is really easy to walk around and there is heaps going on there.

The beach front had heaps of cool shops, restaurants and bars. The beach itself, though it is a pebble beach, is still nice to walk on as long as you watch out for the bits of glass and the English Channel wasn't too cold.

We went to a great Thai restaurant on the first night. There were photos of Jack Straw and Peter Andre eating there. The food was really good, deserts were a bit different but tasty and the waitresses were all dressed up in traditional Thai dresses and were really friendly.

I even thought about getting a weekend flat down there and commuting to and from London on the weekends. Time will tell.

I'm still studying Estonian like mad. I have three and half weeks before I take off.
