Our Honeymoon in Lanzarote

Lanzarote, Spain

We just got back from our weeklong Honeymoon in Lanzarote, Spain. It's an island less than 100 KM off the coast of Morocco in the Atlantic Ocean. Some say it's an outpost for British council estates but we really enjoyed it. It was at least 30C every day, we had a nice car, a good hotel, stray cats sat with us while we ate dinner and we got to do a heap of activities while we were there.

All those years of listen to Cypress Hill paid off as I was able to order food from Burger King completely in Spanish.

The only shocker we had was on Saturday night. We had gone to sleep at 11:30pm. The door to the balcony in our room was open. At midnight, I heard the loudest explosion I had ever heard in my life. The room shook from the vibrations. I instantly woke up scared shitless. I told Anja to stay still as I went to see what happened. I imagined balls of fire from bombs sent off by a terrorist attacking the island. As I went towards the windows, I could hear even more explosions. It turned out to be fireworks set off across the street.

I've attached 80-some photos to this blog, I hope you enjoy looking at them :)
