Side-job, missing clothing, h4x0r th3 c0mput3r and sleeping under jackets 9th November 2001 in Exeter, United Kingdom

Yesterday a customer came into our office and said that he needed a consultant. Everyone looked at him funny but I got his address right away. I got paid £20 ($50 Canadian) for going to his house, downloading a program on to his computer and installing it. I spent most of the time sipping tea in his living room and watching T.V. whilst talking to his wife. £20 isn"t bad for 30 minutes of work.

Last night I had to get my clothes washed at the hostel. I gave the girl working there my clothes and asked that she had them wash by the end of the night. She didn"t. This morning all I had to wear was my surfing trunks and a shirt that said ?Oh my god, they killed buff boy!?. They finally finished washing my clothes and I went to work an hour late. When I got in everyone was in tears after hearing the voice mail I had left: ?Uh? yeah?.. I can"t come into work today because I don"t have any clothes?. Sorry about that? uh? yeah? I?ll ring you in a while? all righty then? cheers?.

I configured the security for a British Government website today, here"s a screenshot.

I move into my house tonight. I had to buy my bedding today during my lunchtime because all the shops close at 5pm and I don"t want to sleep underneath a bunch of jackets tonight. I"m sitting here at my desk with a blanket over my legs, pillow at my back and a pillow below my feet. All I need to do now is build a fort and I?ll feel right at home ;-).
