Fun in Sweden

Tucksfors, Sweden

Anja's father isn't going to lend us his vehicle to get to Stockholm. This is why I don't like vacations where I am not independent. Right now I am stuck in the middle of no where. I have no vehicle to get anywhere and I only go somewhere if the people I am with want to go there, which is complete bullshit. I am an independent person, I go where ever in the world I want to go at anytime and I do as I please when I want, this is the purest form of freedom. If I follow others I become a sheep and that's not me. But, on the other hand, this was a free trip and very few things are truly free.

Today we went to the ski hill about 20KM from here but they don't rent skis. So there was no skiing for us.

While on a walk we talked to an old Swedish man whom only spoke Swedish about renting skis. It was something similar to the old commercials on Canadian television depicting the English talking to the natives when they first came to North America. After about 20 minutes we learned that the closest ski hill that rents ski's is Valjället, about an hour away by car.

Afterward we did some tobogganing via being pulled on plastic sleds by Anja's dad in his car. We got up to about 40KM/h and I found it really enjoyable. Most Swedes driving by honked and looked at us with disrespect. I did one successful 360°, one drag along the road without the sled and cruised right into a couple snow banks which were about as deeper than me. The deep snow on the ground has turned the outdoors into one big air mattress.

In the evening we went over to Anja's parent's cabin about 150Meters from ours and had dinner, afterward I wanted the BBC and played on my PC.
