This is a video from my first trip to Australia when I was 18. I flew from Calgary to Vancouver to Los Angeles to Sydney. I spent 10 days in Sydney, Surfer's Paradise and Brisbane. I didn't have a still camera at the time, instead I was using a Sony Handycam. This is an edit of about 10 hours of footage.

The fact that I only made a 2 minute movie goes to shows what a good time I had. I was partying so much I forgot to shoot some decent footage. I had never been happier in my life and this trip really got the travel bug in me going. After this trip, I was certain I would never live in Canada permanently again as there is such a wonderful world out there to explore. Life as a backpacker and later ex-pat has turned life into one big working holiday.
