TATE modern and tourism
London, UK
London appears to be in the midst of an invasion of Western European tourists. Everywhere I go, it's nothing but French, German and Spanish tourists with their bags in tow. They are on holiday so they tend to be loud and just talk shit whenever I get stuck next to them on the tube or in a restaurant.
I've been in a number of situations recently where I was the only non-English person in the room and it struck me as to how rare these situations are in London.
I really don't care where people come from or if they are here on holiday or whatever but I hate how some restaurants live off of tourists and not locals and as a result, charge too much and offer the worst service possible. Places that rely on repeat business to survive often are the best.
I'm finding it better just to host parties at my house where the booze is 1/3rd the price in pubs, the food is the best you can eat in London and I can stop any nutters from getting in.
I took Anja to the TATE Modern Meuseum today. Here are some photos.
