New Job at New Energy Finance 27th January 2009 in London, United Kingdom
I accepted an offer this afternoon to work for New Energy Finance as a Senior PHP developer.
These few weeks of unemployment have been interesting. Though I hate to see my savings being eaten up by the high cost of living in London but it was good to see my skills are still in demand. Last September when I was looking for work, I would have up to 10 jobs a day being offered up by head hunters and business owners. That number dropped down to 6 but in this current climate that's pretty good.
The work at New Energy should be interesting. I was sold on their business when I saw the commercial service they have. The ability to have such a powerful overview of the new energy markets and ability to drill down is a fantastic offering.
My first day is tomorrow.
