British Telecom, Spanish Girls and being locked out 19th November 2001 in Exeter, United Kingdom
Friday at lunchtime a package from Canada arrived but I wasn"t home to receive it. They left a note for me to call them, I did and they agreed to drop off the package between 9am - 11am on Saturday. Typical English Slackers, they never showed up! British Telecom was also supposed to come out on Saturday to hook up the phone and they didn"t show up either. Which sucks because I needed the phone line to give the postal company shit for not dropping off my package. Now I have to give both of them shit from my phone at work.
Anyway, Friday night I came home and the Danish girls were speaking Danish again... I got a little tired of it so I went for a walk. Whilst walking down the high street I bumped into Spanish Anna. We made plans and she came over Saturday morning for breakfast.
After breakfast on Saturday morning we went out shopping on the High Street. Anna got a CD and I got a new Video card, a book and some sweets.
Saturday night, Mike came by we all enjoyed the bottle of champagne I got from work.
Sunday I was really pist off because my package didn"t arrive and my phone line didn"t work. That night I was in a better mood because we had a house warming party.
This morning I woke up and went to the closest call box. I phoned my boss and told him I was coming in late because I was waiting for my computer to arrive. I went back and realized I was locked out because I forgot my keys and Freda couldn"t get the door open. I ended up having to climb over the 11-foot brick wall that surrounds my backyard to get into the house. Freda then let me in through the back door.
Eventually everyone left for the day and I was there waiting until 1pm for my computer to arrive. When the mailman arrived with my PC he was sitting on the boxes in my front yard talking away on his mobile. I opened the door and yelled ?Oi!! Bring those boxes to me? and he asked me to give him a hand. I did and the door shut behind me, I was locked out again!! I tried to break into my house by scaling the 11-foot wall and getting in through the back but I ended up slipping and taking the close line of the girl nickers down with me. I was left unharmed thanks to being cushioned by about 20 thongs and bras. My house is like fort knocks... next to breaking a window there is no way in.
I waited in the cold for 45 minutes before my neighbor noticed me freezing outside and invited me in. Really nice lad, he is studying engineering at the local university. We sat and watch neighbors (daytime t.v. show) until Julie came home. I thanked my neighbor for letting me warm up in his house and took my new PC into my new house. I didn"t have time to set it up because I was already 2.5 hours late for work. I"m going to make up the time tomorrow morning.
