Megan and Chris' Wedding
The Cotswolds, UK
Our friends of the past five and a half years, Megan and Chris, got Married yesterday. The wedding was out in the Cotswolds, about two and half hours west of London. Everything about the wedding was lovely and executing with effortless perfection. Meg and Chris look so happy together and I've seen few other couples with such great compatibility as these two.
It was good to see some old faces at the wedding and we enjoyed all the hours of banter and laughter. It was a shame it was raining when we left this morning because I could print calendars for the next 20 years with photos from this part of England.
I have to admit, it was a bit of a culture shock going back into the country side. Southern England is basically made up of Southern England and London, London being something of a completely different world from everything else that surrounds it. The friendly people, the pubs where everyone knows one another, everyone's fascination with any new faces that turn up and the non-mixing taps all took some getting used to. The country roads (or the never-ending blind corners and rolling hills) also managed to keep us on our toes. Anyone who thinks driving in London is dangerous should give this a go.
